It was a fantastic weekend for Team Scotland as they competed in Switzerland in the run-up to this year’s Commonwealth Games.

Rachel Tytler and David Ferguson – two of our senior coaches – did really well and benefitted hugely from the trip.

Rachel won an outstanding silver – her first senior European medal.

David was on track to fight for bronze but picked up an injury and had to retire –  but not before some excellent judo was displayed.

These European tournaments are a tough test which our players passed with flying colours.

It is a massive testament to the JudoScotland program and to the dedication of our athletes that the guys were able to perform so well.

The countdown to Birmingham is well underway and Rachel and David hope to build on these results. Be sure to follow their progress from August 1st to August 3rd.

We are very proud of all our full-time athletes and it is a privilege to have them working with the kids at our club.
