Pro:Judo in Euro success!

A team of eight travelled to Lund in southern Sweden last month to compete in the Budo North Cup, which attracted 700 entrants from across Europe. The tournament is considered one of the most important in the judo calendar and the three day training camp is managed by world class coaches.

  • Jack Murphy, 11, who lives in Mosspark and attends Mosspark Primary.
  • Kerry Thompson, 12, who lives in Milton of Campsie and attends St Ninian’s Secondary.
  • Kate Saunders, 13, who lives in Bearsden and attends Bearsden Academy.
  • David Ferguson, 13, who lives in Bishopbriggs and attends Bishopbriggs Academy.
  • Max Murphy, 13, who lives in Bearsden and attends Bearsden Academy

Head Coach Brian Long said, “The trip was a huge success. The kids enjoyed the high standard of judo and also met many other young people from across Europe, making it a rewarding cultural experience to remember.”
